Every year, thousands of Georgians are affected by valvular heart disease—a condition that often goes undiagnosed until it's too late. HeartReach is changing that through community education, early screening, and advocacy.
Our mission: One valve, one family, one community at a time.
HeartReach is a community outreach initiative dedicated to raising awareness about valvular heart disease—a hidden epidemic affecting 14 million Americans. Our mission is to bridge the gap between awareness and access.
HeartReach was founded to ensure every patient has access to life-saving valvular heart disease care. Inspired by personal stories, we work to connect patients with specialized care programs before it's too late.
What began as a small community initiative has grown into a collaborative effort with healthcare providers across Georgia. Through education, heart ultrasound screenings, and direct patient advocacy, HeartReach connects communities with early detection and timely heart care. We believe every primary care physician can save a life by ordering one echocardiogram at the right time.
Our team is a group of dedicated volunteers and healthcare professionals united by a shared mission—to make valvular heart disease more understandable and approachable, foster community engagement, and connect hearts through education and support.
14 million Americans live with valvular heart disease, yet it remains widely unrecognized. Despite causing mortality rates that rival cancer and heart failure, VHD receives far less attention and funding.
Transcatheter therapies like TAVR and TEER have revolutionized VHD treatment, transforming what was once risky surgery into safe, minimally invasive procedures. Patients can now return to normal life within days.
Despite medical advances, significant gaps remain in VHD care, including racial disparities, rural access gaps, and provider bias. HeartReach is working to close these gaps through education, screening, and advocacy.

Donations to HeartReach directly support our mission to improve heart health across Georgia. Every contribution helps fund community screening and education programs, training for primary care providers and echo technicians, treatment coordination with specialized centers and heart teams, and initiatives focused on prevention, early detection, and reducing barriers to care for vulnerable populations.
We'd love to hear from you as we focus on changing lives through community support and connecting hearts.
